First SEA meeting of the school year

The agenda will include introductions, meeting minutes, President's update, calendar review, current business (budget review, vote, events, communications), Principal's Update, new / upcoming business, teacher update and community open forum.

Childcare is provided for all PTO meetings by our very own Mrs. Semann, donations are appreciated.

INVEST in Your Child's Future

We've all heard the news, Boulder Valley School District is losing millions of dollars in funding for the 2010/2011 school year. SEA's fundraising efforts are being adjusted as well.

We welcome you to INVEST. INVEST is the rebranding of the SEA PTO Capital Campaign, which is Eldorado K-8’s primary fund raising project for the year. After careful thought and discussions, and due to the extraordinary budget situation we currently face for the upcoming school year, a decision was made to move the campaign for next year up to April to better support, prepare and create a budget based on “actual” revenue for the 2010/2011 operational year.

This pro-active approach will hopefully provide us the opportunity to inform and educate the community, in advance of the school year, as to how the budget shortfall will directly impact Eldorado K-8. It will also allow us the opportunity to create a plan to better communicate how the resources will be allocated to maintain the integrity of our student experience.

Materials will be sent over the next few weeks via mail for grades 6^th - 8^th, and Friday Folders for K-5 that contain more specifics regarding the BVSD cuts and how they will affect Eldorado. Information will also be posted on this website as it becomes available. Please be on the lookout.

Eldorado Needs You

This year Soaring Eagles Alliance inaugral members terms' expire this year.  New members are need to fill key positions on the board. 

• Do you want to make a difference at your child's school? 
• Do you have ideas that could help Eldorado? 
• Now is your chance to get involved. 

Come to the board meeting on Wednesday April 7th at 6:30 (babysitting provided) to watch this year's board in action and find out about each position.  Elections will be held at the May board meeting, Wednesday May 5th at 6:30.
