Exciting changes took place in the 2007 - 2008 school year at Eldorado K-8. One component is the establishment of the Soaring Eagles Alliance.  It is a non-profit organization designed to meet the needs at Eldorado K-8 that are not currently met by district budgets. 

Why create Soaring Eagles Alliance?  This new Parent, Teacher and Community Organization is first and foremost a non-profit organization.  As a non-profit we can apply for grants and resources that are not currently available to us.  All donations are charitable donations, tax-deductible, and are available for matching funds from many employers and corporations.  Additionally, your dollars will go directly to Eldorado K-8 and its students.  As you donate to Soaring Eagles Alliance, your money will have a direct impact on crucial direct needs at Eldorado K-8 with focuses on student achievement, school and student pride.

How will the Soaring Eagles Alliance work?  Through openness, clear communication, coordinated efforts, and determination, we can have it all at Eldorado K-8.  Soaring Eagles Alliance will sponsor a major annual campaign drive to solicit donations from every family at Eldorado K-8. These funds will go directly to Soaring Eagles Alliance with the sole purpose of being used to support major educational funding initiatives and classroom assistance for education at Eldorado K-8.  We have comprised our goals with feedback directly received from parents, teachers, students and administration. Enclosed in this packet is a working copy of the Eldorado K-8 wish list. Additionally, we will be using more fun and creative ways throughout the year to enhance the initiatives and needs of the school.

Who will make decisions for Soaring Eagles Alliance?   Elections for Board of Director positions take place at the last school year meeting. This volunteer group, with support of Boulder based Cahill O’Kelly & Associates (CPA’s), has created a framework that will rely strongly on our parent and community partnerships as well as Eldorado staff and administration.
